The Keeney Memorial Cultural Center in Wethersfield CT was originally a school building and later served as a court and a public library. Built in 1893, the house was renovated in 1985 becoming a cultural center named after local sailor Robert Allan Keeney who was lost at age 21 in the final days of World War II when he was aboard the USS Indianapolis when it was sunk.
