Station Night Club – Days After

As I wrote in an earlier post the Station Night Club fire in Warwick RI was the fourth deadliest nightclub fire in U.S. History.  While the earlier post shows the photos from four years after the event these were taken just three days after the fire on February 20, 2003.

The piece of wall you see standing in this photo was all that was left post fire.  All the other debris you see is pieces of the club.

Fire investigators go through the rubble of the Station Night Club looking for clues as to what went on.

When you look at these photos remember 100 people lost their lives there and nearly 200 more were injured physically to some extent.  Along with being at Ground Zero for 9/11 it’s one of the most powerful places I’ve ever visited.

There is fund set up for the families and survivors called the Station Family Fund.

And don’t forget comments on this post or any other here at Depth of Field are not only allowed but encouraged.  Thanks for looking!

We’ll be back again on Monday with more.
