For some reason, I’m attracted to vacant stores and buildings. I don’t know why they fascinate me so.
I am the same way. I think it’s partly the character of the building, especially if you didn’t know it when it was occupied. It makes you wonder what went on there, who worked or lived there. There’s always a mystery to it and I think that’s what draws people.
As a retired firefighter I’ve always had some interest in building construction and I think that is part of it for me as well. I just have a fascination with older buildings, houses, churches, old downtown areas, theaters, etc.
Do you follow the blog that does pictures of abandoned movie theaters?
