Oktober Fest

In the retirement community near me they celebrate all the holidays and different events usually with a parade and food and entertainment.

Oktober Fest is no different than Columbus Day or St. Patrick’s Day as a large crowd came out for the festivities.

In the first photo a small band plays tradition Oktober Fest music during the parade.

The ladies on the Hofbrauhaus float are having a great time raising a mug.  Just like in the old days!

A pair of stilt walkers made their way around the route wearing traditional German garb.

and this is some of what was offered, a bratwurst coated in sauerkraut and mustard.
