This silo, which apparently hasn’t been used in many years, has decided to go topless. It’s located on a stretch of Route 169 near Canterbury in Eastern Connecticut.
It’s funny how as you drive through rural parts of our country for some reason a lot farms are in disrepair and the older farm buildings are unused and just falling apart.
It’s really sad to see when you think that once bustling farms are now either falling on hard times, changed what they produce or gone. And in some cases the only reminders are the vacant, dilapidated buildings that they left behind from years gone by.
