Mohawk Trail

This was originally published July 14, 2008

As I wrote in an earlier post last July 21st I went up the Mohawk Trail (Route 2) in Massachusetts and then into Bennington VT.

The Mohawk Trail is a very scenic and winding road through the mountains that even includes a hairpin turn. There are several spots with scenic overlooks as well which give you, as you can see, some incredible views.

Also on the Mohawk Trail you will find the scenic town of Shelburne Falls MA which has the historic Bridge of Flowers and just a really beautiful, serene, traditional New England village feel.

I was a little pressed for time as my actual point of interest was to be the Vermont Bridges and Shelburne Falls was a secondary trip so I didn’t shoot the downtown area. But I do plan on going back and when I do I will share those photos.

And don’t forget comments on this post or any other here at Depth of Field are not only allowed but encouraged.  Thanks for looking!
