September 11th – 5th Anniversary

This originally ran on October 21, 2008.

I was in the New York City area on September 11, 2006…the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our country and as I drove over the George Washington Bridge this is what I saw.

Please take a moment tomorrow to remember all the heroes alive and dead.  The firefighters, police, transit workers, city employees, federal employees, the doctors and nurses, the paramedics and EMT’s, the everyday civilians who helped a stranger.

We will never be the same as we once were but we can be better.  Better people, a better country.  Show some kindness, help a loved one, a stranger a lost dog.

DO SOMETHING!   It goes a long way.
