Greg Schiano

This was originally posted November 21, 2008.

Rutgers football was much like UConn football not really going anywhere.  But when a program finally finds the right guy it can mean a huge turnaround.  It’s happened at UConn with Randy Edsall and it’s happening at Rutgers with Greg Schiano as he has led the team to national ranking, bowl games and gotten much needed stadium improvements to help bring in recruits.  I also didn’t hurt that he had Ray Rice running the ball for 3 years.

Now Schiano is a head coach in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and they face the Patriots in Foxboro this Sunday.
