Golden Monkey

A golden monkey sits a top a 1937 Ford at a Florida car show on July 20, 2013.

People do all sorts of things to dress up their cars at these shows, I’ve seen M&M characters, faux dogs and beavers, Howdy Doody, Uncle Sam and even Sylvester and Tweety.

Big Boy Figurine

I’ve said in the past how rare the Big Boy is these days.  Well here is a Big Boy figurine sitting a top an air cleaner filter cover of a 1957 Ford Thunderbird at a Florida car show on May 18, 2013.

George Abdow, a co-founder of the Abdow’s Big Boy chain in Western Massachusetts, passed away on May 29 at age 82.

This post is dedicated to George Abdow whose restaurants were the place to go for many teens, young adults and growing families.

Dammit Doll

This is a New England Patriots dammit doll.  You’re supposed to throw it around when ever you have a hissy fit over your team.

The card says “Whenever the referee has made a bad call, and you want to yell and hit the wall…or player misses an easy score, and you can’t take it anymore…just grasp it firmly by the legs, and find a place to slam it…and as you knock the stuffing out…YELL DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT!!!!”

Available in nearly every pro or college team, New York jets dammit dolls are currently sold out from the Thanksgiving Night game.
